Join us in uplifting lives and supporting children together!
Purpose of the initiation:
To bring much needed resources and a sense of hope to children in Tanzania
Background
During a recent medical mission trip in 2023, I saw neighborhood kids playing soccer with no shoes and a tattered up ball. Their joy and resilience despite limited resources touched me deeply, inspiring me to seek ways our school community could make a meaningful difference in their lives.
Goal
To gather shoes and balls in order to give the kids the proper resources to play safely and comfortably while enjoying their favorite sport.
Action Plan
1) I propose setting up donation boxes around our school and collecting items such as used soccer shoes, shin guards, balls, other sports goods or supports from school participants during the semester. (Banner and box design attached below)
2) All collected sports goods and items I plan to repackage and send to the organization in Tanzania that would directly benefit these children.
3) I can visit Tanzania and make direct support to the children in the Summer, 2025.
4) After the project is finished, the result will be reported to Beachwood High School through a newsletter (Beachcomb), and church community as needed.
Who will be receiving the donations?
New Vision Sports Club, based in Arusha, Tanzania will be the main distribution counterpart. The soccer club is part of the YWAM(Youth With A Mission), one of the largest missionary groups in Tanzania and they have agreed to take the donated items and distribute them to children. This partnership is ideal because the group actively oversees soccer teams, schools, churches, and other community programs, ensuring the donations reach those who need them the most.

Time Frame
March – May 2025 – Set up donation boxes and actively collect as much soccer equipment as possible before the trip.
First Week of June 2025 – Travel to Tanzania to personally deliver the donations and support local children.
Summer 2025 – Organize and ship any additional collected donations to the missionary group in Tanzania.
Expected impact
By bringing our community together in this way, we can make a real, positive impact and show solidarity with these children, whose spirit and creativity inspires us all. I believe that this donation drive aligns with our school's values of compassion, global citizenship, and community service. I am confident that with your support, we can foster a sense of purpose among our students while bringing hope and support to kids who would benefit immensely from even the smallest contribution.
Thank you.
